What type of paints do you use?
We use a range of brands of professional, water based face paint. Brands include Diamond FX, Superstar, Tag and Fusions. MSDS Sheets are available upon request.
Are the paints easy to remove?
Absolutely – The face paint we use is water based and can removed with water and a mild soap. However, please be aware that some staining can occur for a short time after removal depending on the colour of the face paint used.
I have sensitive skin, Will the paint irritate?
The face paint we use does have hypoallergenic properties but should you have any concerns as to how your skin may react, we are happy to perform a patch test prior to you being painted.
How long does it take to paint a face?
How long it will take usually depends on the complexity of the requested design. An average for most children’s faces would be around 3-5 minutes.
How many faces can you paint in an hour?
Around 12-15 full designs an hour or up to 20 smaller designs – ideal for large parties or busier events.
Do you ever refuse to paint somebody?
Yes – At the artists discretion, we may refuse:
- any person for any other unforeseen reason.
- any person that appears to be suffering from any kind of skin disorder or viral illness.
- any design that we consider offensive.
- any children under the age of 3 years.
Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes – we can provide a copy of our current PLI certificate upon request.
How much does face painting cost?
Our face painting rates are based on :
- type of event (wedding, birthday, corporate, barmitzvah etc)
- location and travel
- number of guests
- duration of the booking
